On behalf of Berlin Partner for Business GmbH, Uhura developed and realized the brand, website and content for Smart City Berlin, which was released in mid-April at www.smart-city-berlin.de.

In the first step, together with Berlin Partner for Business and Technology GmbH, the Senate Chancellery Berlin, the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises as well as the stakeholders of the network as various research institutions, corporates and startups, the brand strategy and a brand design were developed and defined compacted in a brand manual.

Based on the specifications, Uhura developed the online platform www.smart-city-berlin.de. The website contains comprehensive information about the various Smart City projects, products and news from Berlin, as well as an event calendar with all relevant events on the subject. The funding overview gives an insight into all current funding programs - not only locally but also nationally and internationally. In addition, a project map was developed in which user can obtain a comprehensive overview of realized smart city activities in Berlin.

The new website for Smart City Berlin optimized for desktop and mobile usage

The smart city network, consisting of research institutions, companies, startups, politics and administration, is made visible in the network overview with its own profiles and contact persons, the working groups and network managers. Stakeholders also have the opportunity to submit their own news and events via the integrated extranet, as well as to exchange information. The extranet thus provides an effective communication platform for the approximately 150 partners in the network.

The Uhura editorial team researched and produced 60 articles and projects for the website and conceived and produced 2D animations, video portraits and other visual content related to Smart City Berlin.

"We are proud to have developed the brand, website and content for the complex topic "Smart City" and to give Berlin visibility in this case. There are many innovative smart city approaches in Berlin and new ones are added every day. With the website www.smart-city-berlin.de, Berliners and experts will have the opportunity to follow the developments of their city on a daily basis and actively participate in them for the first time. The extranet also offers the opportunity to network research, companies and administration in one place and to make use of possible synergies in order to jointly develop Berlin in the direction of "Smart City", says managing director and project lead, Margarita Kozakiewicz.
